Acura have finally unveiled the long-awaited 2016 Acura NSX. The rebirth of this favorite is loaded with new tech and a mean engine to boast. The mid-engine supercar has been outfitted with a longitudinally mounted twin-turbocharged 75-degree DOHC V6 engine (north of 550-horsepower) coupled with a 9-speed dual clutch transmission. The NSX is kitted with Honda’s highly rated Sport Hybrid system, which will pair the petrol-powered V6 with a trio of electric motors to help this thing pin you to the back of your seat under wide open throttle (using the car’s zero-delay acceleration system).
The next generation NSX is equipped with fully independent, all aluminum front and rear suspension for optimum handling around the track, while a set of 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the back clasp onto high performance carbon ceramic discs for maximum stopping power. When it comes to design, this thing is an obvious throwback to the 90s model of yesteryear (without the flip-up headlights of course). It’s slightly lengthened (to fit the engine setup), and features modified hood vents, front fender vents, modified side air intakes, and an optimized deck spoiler for increase downforce.
