We hear people say all the time that no expense was spared on their redesign/renovation projects. Most of the time the finished product is pretty nice, but the owner of 1181 North Hillcrest Avenue wanted to really push the phrase to the limits with his latest creation.
Ever wondered what kind of house $85 million would get you in Los Angeles? Well now we know – you get the ultimate bachelor pad, a residence so downright awesome, that Tony Stark himself would be envious. A collaboration project between Interior Architect Joseph Ferrugio, designer Roman James, and the owner (Bruce Makowsky), this 23,000 square foot mansion was conceptualized by the idea of the Rat Pack living in the modern era. This humble abode is situated atop the Trousdale Estates (complete with the highly desired 90210 zip code), and oozes masculinity and luxury all throughout.
It’s got everything from Bentley leather stitched furniture and walls to a James Bond inspired bar and its own personal candy shop. Of course it also has the “essentials” like a home movie theater, open concept garage with hydraulic display sets, fully equipped gym, 7 bedrooms, and the one thing no LA bachelor pad could exist without – an infinity pool offering up panoramic views of the city skyline. The James Dean replica motorcycle in the living room is also a nice touch. Not a bad way to spend nearly 9 figures on a home.
