Following our first look at Nike’s entree into 2015 with their Air Jordan XX9 “Year of the Goat,” we are now getting a look at this amazing custom take on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High. Initially believed to be a brand release, the sneaker is actually designed by The Remade, which goes along way to explain how different the colorway choice – a premium deep red instead of the XX9’s watercolor print of turquoise, green, blue, and everything in between – could have arrived on the scene. Constructed with a mix of tumbled leather and suede and joined together with a clean gum outsole, the look is finished off with Chinese characters in white at the back and a unique woven hangtag to elevate the premium feel. The set also is secured in a custom bamboo case of equal quality. A fitting tribute to the season, it’s just a shame that these won’t be hitting stores to enjoy in person.
