Other than the Foamposite “Yeezys”, the other major sneaker release this weekend is the Air Jordan XI Low – Nightshade. Instead of the trademark patent leather mudguard this version is given a a bright green snakeskin print, contrasted with an all black mesh and leather upper. The low-top rests on a white midsole and translucent rubber outsole.
Many are on the fence about this release, as it’s a very polarizing take on the XI silhouette that has many of us “Senior” Air Jordan lovers and collector asking, “Is the Jordan Brand on the verge of ruining the most elite and highly respected silhouette of the Air Jordan Collection with so many variations releasing in one year?!” Regardless if it was your favorite Air Jordan silhouette or not, the exclusivity of the Air Jordan 11 is something that Sneaker lovers respected over the years. With this year’s onslaught of lows and the actual release of two XI mids this winter, all we can do is hold our breath and wait to see how this plays out. The Air Jordan 11 Low – Nightshade will hit selected Jordan Brand outlets starting this saturday.
