Ducati has unveiled the all new Monster 821, replacing the discontinued 1100 EVO and joining the Monster 1200 as another liquid-cooled machine to the brand’s naked roadster line. The Monster 821 shares many of the same advanced features as the larger 1200, including adjustable seat height, eight-level traction control, three-level ABS and three-level Ride-by-Wire throttle control. A major difference separating the two – the larger sibling incorporates a single-sided swingarm rear suspension, while the 821 makes use of a simpler double-sided design. Other visual differences: a tail-mounted license plate holder and the absence of a chin spoiler. Power comes courtesy of an 821-cubic-centimeter Testastretta 11° V-twin, good for 112 horsepower and 65.9 lb-ft of torque. The Ducati Monster 821 goes on sale in July, with retail set at $10,995 for the 821 Dark version and $11,495 for the standard.
