BMW‘s own patented drive unit swing arm is officially going into production on the Heisenberg XF1 eBike. Designed to provide for a free-floating drive train without the need for a traditional chain tensioner system, the Heisenberg XF1 eBike can now therefore lead the game in providing both superior rear and front suspension systems and a durable, maintenance-free carbon belt with a mid-motor spindle that supplements your own leg power. The end result is outstanding propulsion and handling, worthy of the small “Concept by BMWi” tag on the otherwise blacked-out bike. The Heisenberg XF1 eBike is launching this week with more sustainable innovation planned between the two design firms to come.
