Jordan Brand has officially taken the wraps off the new Super.Fly 3, created by a dedicated team of designers using Blake Griffin’s high-flying game as the shoe’s inspiration. The upper features synthetic overlays to add additional structure on the toe and heel, as well as lightweight textile quarter panels finished in a distinctive pattern inspired by a sonic boom. An evolved FlightPlate provides the power for flight, while a Nike Zoom unit amplifies energy return in the forefoot. Additional performance benefits include the Flight Web fit system, good for stabilizing lockdown and extra support, plus a sock-like inner sleeve and padded Achilles notch. A multi-directional outsole pattern taking cues from the Air Jordan XX9 rounds out the details.
“For the Jordan Super.Fly 3, I really wanted a shoe that allowed me to gain an explosive edge on court – with speed and my lift,” said Griffin, who will wear the shoe in the upcoming season. “I really like that FlightPlate not only makes me feel more powerful throughout the game, but also gives me confidence when I’m taking flight.”
The Jordan Super.Fly 3 launches October 1st in two introductory colorways, with retail set at $140.
