Louis Vuitton has been stepping up their watchmaking game over the past few years and if their Tambour éVolution GMT collection is any indication of what’s to come, it seems as though the industry will be getting some serious competition soon. Unveiled at Baselworld 2015, the world’s premier luxury jewelry event, the range includes three new DLC-coated black steel timepieces complete with a second time zone in quasi-GMT format. First up is the Tambour éVolution GMT which measures at 43mm wide and uses an automatic caliber LV71 which makes it operate at 4Hz with 42 hours of power reserve. The Tambour éVolution Chronograph GMT is 45mm wide and contains a caliber LV92 automatic. Lastly, the Tambour éVolution Spin Time GMT also measures at 45mm wide and uses an in-house made calibre LV111 automatic movement. The Spring 2015 Louis Vuitton Tambour éVolution collection will be available shortly at select retailers.
