Joining the super and ultimate series to complete a three tier range, the McLaren ‘570S coupe’ introduces the British manufacturer’s new sports series, as it makes its global debut at the New York Auto Show. Offering race-derived technologies and design values to a different segment and audience, the pure sportscar features a 3.8-liter V8 twin turbo engine, made from 30% original components, providing a power output of 569 hp (570PS) that accelerates it from 0-62 mph (100km/h) in 3.2 seconds and to a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h). Combing this, as well as how it generates 600 Nm of torque, with a dry load of just 1,313 kg (2,895 lbs), it has a power-to-weight ratio of 427 hp per tonne. this capability is delivered through a seven-speed SSG transmission to its rear wheels, and can be controlled using the standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes.
