If you’re not familiar with Pininfarina, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve been living under a rock. For those that aren’t, Pininfarina is a legendary firm responsible for designing cars such as the 1984 Ferrari Testarossa, 2008 Maserati GranTurismo, 1992 Jaguar XJ220, and 1966 Alfa Romeo Spider – to name a very small few. As it turns out, however, they’ve also dipped their toes into the world of superyachts. This is their newest, it’s called Aurea, and it’s magnificent.

Designed in conjunction with Italian shipyard Rossinavi, the Aurea features a diesel-electric propulsion system housed at its center (rather than the rear) which allows for a pair of luxurious and serene stern-situated pools – yes, two of them. The 70 meter vessel also houses a record-setting sized beach club onboard. All told, it features three large outdoor decks and water-level access points on both sides of the hull. On top of that, the guest cabins also feature longitudinal balconies for private external access. Leave it to Pininfarina to make other superyachts look bad.
