Bentley’s announcement that it’s entering the SUV market has given a jolt to the luxury automobile market. The upcoming 2016 sports utility vehicle boasts ultra-luxury details and is rumored to start around $200,000USD (734,000DHM) when it hits showrooms.
Bentley CEO and Chairman, Wolfgang Schreiber stated that the SUV will also be a hybrid-first in the Bentley family, however the luxury vehicle will first be manufactured with a diesel engine, which is another first-ever for the automotive powerhouse. If this is the case, the still-to-be-named SUV could potentially be offered with the Cayenne Diesel S’s 4.2 liter turbocharged engine that produces 382 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The Bentley SUV will hold enough champagne flutes to please it’s passengers, not to mention intricate trimming and interior that one would expect from Bentley. Stay tuned as we are sure to hear move about this later in the year.
